In the first ever soccer match between two schools that are separated by a mere two miles, MIT wins over Emmanuel. Lance Wall scored his first intercollegiate goal in the 49th minute, helping the Engineers remain undefeated at home.

Lance’s MIT Engineers finished 19th overall while Ashley’s Brown Bears ranked 22nd overall on the Collegiate Power Rankings from NCSA. The Power Rankings are calculated for each college/university at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels by averaging the U.S. Sports Academy Directors’ Cup ranking, the NCAA student-athlete graduation rate of each college/university and the U.S. News & World Report ranking.

The Engineers finished 6th in the Division III rankings and first within the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference. Check out the entire rankings at the NCSA website.
